We leave a frosty day in Chicago (like 2 freaking degrees…) to travel to Daytona Beach..our journey ususally begins here…

This is the last sober minute I will have until Monday — CHEERS !!!

I Love taking pictures of the sky and clouds….

I love to try to figure out where I am in this great country — and there is quite a bit of guessing between Chicago & Daytona Beach Florida….

But I have figured out that we travel at roughly 500 mph, and the entire trip is 2.5 hours. Take off is 30 minutes, so we are at Kentucky in 1 hour — mountains at 1.5 hours…and going over Georgia takes foooor-ever…. then at 2 hours — Florida and at 2.5, touch down….

But what do I see?? A recognizable landmark?? Oh Yes, That is Daytona International Speedway from 14,000 ft..,

Hee Haa…

And we are off…for the 50th running of the Daytona 500 !!
