One of the things that I LOVE to do when I am in Daytona is to get up early and watch the sunrise…

I like to be alone with my thoughts first thing in the morning and ready myself for a productive day…

I got a new Nikon 80 for taking pictures last Christmas, like Christmas of 2006 and I have spent over a year trying to figure out how to use it…

Sunrises are hard and they go very slowly — so really I should set my tripod up to capture the same view as the sun rises….

But I am a little whimsy like that, and I change lenses and play with camera speeds and still only find that 1 in 10 of the pictures that I take are good enough to save….

Ooooo..kinda looks spooky doesn’t it??

Are you starting to see the outline of the bird and the top of the bandshell?

Dramatic lense change and there you go…

It’s gonna be another good day !!
