Well, the countdown to the 50th running of the Daytona 500 is on!! We leave on Feb 12th and I can not wait to be in Daytona Beach for the race !! We are about 10 miles from the Joliet track, but we are not big Nascar fans, so we never go to that race. We go the the 500, there is nothing like the energy for the 1st race of the season.

Prior to the start of the race — there are trailers and more trailers — it is a Nascar flea market — but this is who I come early to see::

Actually the entire Budweiser trailer - tent and set are just so impressive

When you see how beautiful these horses are and how wonderful the handlers are with the animals — it will really touch you…

These are just such gentle animals –I hang out by the Budweiser trailer just to get my Clydesdale fix for the year…

And you can get your picture taken with the Clydesdales, but it seems that I am the only one in my family who can work the camera…..

Yes, he is now staring at me…and I’ll bet he is getting concerned about the crazy lady with the camera who has been hanging out like a stalker all morning…..

They are both trying to avoid my gaze….maybe I have worn out my welcome….

Such a freaking cool wagon !!!

I am hoping that Anhueser Busch no longer sponsoring the Busch Series will not affect my Clydesdales….
