Ocean Walk Resort – 2 Bedroom Lock Out

Daytona Beach Florida – Ocean Walk Resort – 2 Bedroom Lock Out

The 2 Bedroom Lock Out

This is a walk thru of the Ocean Walk 2 Bedroom Lock out. This is a condo on the 18th floor — so it is the highest condo at Ocean Walk with 3 balconies. This condo will run the entire span of the north end of the south tower.

The master bedroom has a private oceanfront balcony and is a longer hallway length away from the main living space with a private bath and a jaccuzzi tub. This is the perfect situation for parents traveling with children.

Ocean Walk Resort – The Lock Out

Daytona Beach Florida

Wyndham’s Ocean Walk Resort

ocean-walk-from-a1a1

There are 2 different  “Lock Out” floorplans  in the south tower.

The “Lock Out”  Concept means that a set of 2 doors is easily opened or closed and locked from it’s respective side — which creates 2  smaller condos.  Each of the smaller condos are self contained with a bathroom and kitchen and possibly a washer-dryer.  Reopening the doors on both sides creates a walk thru floorplan  — allows re-entry. This is the adjacent hotel room concept — on a larger scale. The benefits to the owners allows flexibility in offering rooms –  a smaller 1 bedroom condo can be occupied if no one wants the larger  2 bedroom condo. This floorplan lends itself to 2 families traveling together or a larger family requiring more space, as a 2 bedroom will have 2 kitchens.

oceanwalk-2bd-lockout

The normal lock out plan – Locks a 2 bedroom into a 1 Bedroom Oceanfront condo and an oceanview studio. These are the 01 condos.. and they are unique because you will have 3 balconies with this floorplan. These condos can sleep 6-10 depending upon bed configuration. You will have a full kitchen and efficiiency kitchen. You will only have 1 washer – dryer combination.

2-3bedroom-lockout-floorplan

The larger lock out plan – Locks a 2 bedroom into a 1 Bedroom Oceanfront condo and a 1 bedroom non oceanfront. These are the 04 & 11 condos..the drawback here is that the 2nd 1 bedroom has no balcony. This is the condo type that has the least demand at Ocean Walk, typically — these condos are the most economically priced.  This lock out type can sleep 8-12 depending upon bed configuration. You will have a full kitchen and efficiiency kitchen. You will have 2 washer – dryer combinations.

Daytona Beach Weddings

As a condo owner who rents to travelers — I try to be a “go to” person for the guests that are staying with me.  Over the past several years the guests that I have had that were the most memorable have been the couples that were coming to Daytona to  “Tie-the-knot”.

Planning your own destination wedding is really fun and exciting but can also be  streessful.   All couples want the day to be  wonderful and romantic and for things to go smoothly in a beautiful setting.  I am frequently  asked about various facets wedding planning.  Over the years  I have been forunate enough to find Ginny Holder of    “Affordable Weddings”   which can be found on line   www.daytonabeachweddings.com

Ginny makes me look brilliant — because I can just refer my guests and I know that she will take care of all aspects and answer all of their questions to make the entire process of choosing the perfect location for the ceremony to suggesting the perfect dinner location for after the ceremony.

I have asked Ginny the hard questions::

(Renata) Ginny, what is the cost of having a Daytona Beach Wedding?

(Ginny) We aren’t called AFFORDABLE Weddings for nothing. With us each couple is special and we work very hard to make each wedding a unique experience they will treasure for the rest of their lives.  Our weddings are priced from our most basic at $149 to our most elaborate at $999 – there is something for everyone!

(Renata) If couples are traveling in for a destination wedding — how much of the planning can be done prior to their arrival?

(Gina) We can plan the whole wedding via the Internet. They can choose either a Christian minister or a Notary Public to perform their ceremony (officiant’s fee is included in all our weddings).  They can make a wedding reservation with us securely online from either of our websites shown in my signature below. They can simply click on “Make Your Reservation” and complete the secure form. We will then confirm their reservation by email and send instructions and access to our private online library of many beautiful wedding ceremonies, as well as poems, prayers, blessings and music. If they need any help customizing their ceremony, we are happy to oblige.

(Renata) Have you done many weddings with couples who have planned thru the internet?

(Ginny) We have done well over 1,300 weddings in the Greater Daytona area since 2001 and are well known in the Greater Daytona area. Many of our couples are referred to us by satisfied clients and their guests, as well as many local hotels, businesses and wedding professionals. Rest assured that with us they will be in experienced, caring hands, and it would be our pleasure and joy to help make their wedding beautiful, meaningful, memorable and EASY!

(Renata) I really love weddings — it must be great going to work and seeing happy people everyday.

(Ginny)We love doing weddings because of the joy of sharing in each couple’s love, beauty and spirit on the most special day of their lives. We feel it is our unique honor and privilege to be a part of making the world a little bit more beautiful, two special people at a time.

So I strongly recommend Ginny Holder — Our Favorite Volusia County Wedding Coordinator.  Here are a few pictures of weddings that Ginny has done… Don’t you just love a beach wedding ???

Free Bed on Craigslist…..

DSC 0031

The free bed story…. my name is Renata and until last Tuesday I had a bedroom that was carpeted with grey carpet and bedroom furniture to match…. I have 3 large dogs and I am prone to sinus infections — so much so that I have had a sinus infection since August and have been on about 12 different anti-biotic prescriptions….and will be having surgery tomorrow (3-2-09) to help keep them away in the future…

My wonderful husband decided Tuesday ( 5 days ago —yes…) that maybe the carpet and pet dander might possibly be a source of future irritants for me — so he decided to get rid of the carpet and install a hardwood floor…

Ladies, things don’t usually happen this quickly at my house but my husband does hardwood floors for a living and he had a few days without any work.

We never intended to do anything other than move the furniture out and then move it back in….so the furniture is currently stuffed into our master bath and walk-in closet.

DSC 0037

This is my new floor — my old greyish laquer bedroom furniture will really not fit with the new floor….

DSC 0054

As you can see sanding equipment is still in my room and we expect to be putting coats of finish down Mon – Tues and — no — we can not have folks heading thru to look at furniture. We plan to paint on Wed – Thurs – Fri. and I have found another set of furniture on Craiglist that will look wonderful with the new floor and new paint and it will be here on March 8th… I just don’t have room for the old and new furniture…. so the old furniture needs to go.

DSC 0040

As I said — we stuffed it into our bathroom — there is a 6 drawer dresser & mirror and the light panel from headboard is upside down on top ofthe headboard which has storage….

DSC 0041

See above headboard is in front of dresser… headboard stands up to about waist high and then 2 mirror go above and panel of lights goes above….

DSC 0043

this is a tower and there are 2 — 3 drawers below and a cabinet with 3 shelves above…a tower goes on each side of the headboard and they hold the lighting panel….

DSC 0044

close up of tower

DSC 0045

We taped cabinet shut to keep my clothes from falling out…

DSC 0046

See — I still have to move my clothes out….

DSC 0047

These are the drawers from dresser — there is also an armoire that has 3 drawers below and holds a TV….

DSC 0060

See my walk-in closet? That is where most of the drawers and the king sized platform form bed is….

DSC 0052

Extreme close up of Corner of Bed that was chewed by my mastiff who liked to surprise us by taking the king size mattress off the platform bed and dragging it across the room…. he does things like this to keep himself entertained….

Hey — you don’t have to tell me how lucky I am….

If you see picture below — the corner is about a 5 inch span of damage…. you really need to lay on the floor like a 120 lb mastiff and look up to get a really good look at the damage…..when the bed is set up.

DSC 0049

Hence said mattress…

So Free to good home::

King Sized Platform bed — with headboard, 2 mirrors and light panel

2 towers that go on both sides of the headboard

1 dresser with 6 drawers and mirror…

armoire…3 drawers will hold TV…

As I said — parting with this set was as unexpected as getting my new floor… but we live on the edge here…

I am having surgery on monday March 2nd…so I will not be able to answer any e-mails for a day or 2….then …We are refinshing the floor and so we can not have anyone walking across it until maybe late Wednesday… (3-4) then we are at the painter’s mercy as far as viewing goes… need it all moved by YOU by March 7th.

Need to move CAREFULLY as to not scratch newly installed – finished floors and bumping and chipping newly painted walls… bring help — you saw what the dog did to the mattress — don’t want him doing that to someone who decided to drag free furniture across a new floor…..

Furniture was purchased new in 1991 at John M Smith’s Homemakers — which used to be at Finley & Butterfield in Downers Grove… it’s laminate — so it can hold up to just about anything… damage has been disclosed all drawers etc…are in good working order…

Will give preference to folks who want entire set…

and to the guy who was really, really worried about how damaged the bed was……let me remind you…ITS FREE….
