Ocean Walk Resort – 2 Bedroom Deluxe Timeshare Condos
I arrived home from Daytona today.
I spent February 23-24th at Ocean Walk Resort in a beautiful 2 bedroom – 2 bath deluxe timeshare condo. I am usually able to get 2 bedroom deluxe timeshare condos and offer them at a very reasonable rate – so I get folks interested in what the unit may look like.
I stayed in ## 1116 on the 11th floor in the south tower.
I am flying into Daytona on 2-23-11.
I usually fly into Orlando and drive the 1 hour 15 minute drive to Daytona. I usually fly Southwest into Orlando – just because it is the best deal I can find from Chicago Midway. Rental cars always seem to be just a bit less expensive at Orlando too. I have flown into Daytona before – and the travel time is the same for me – as I have at least an hour layover in Atlanta.
This trip – I was able to save money flying into Daytona -this does not happen often… I am really looking forward to a 10 minute trip to the beach instead of 1 hour and 15 minutes AND I saved a few bucks flying Delta…so this was a real treat for me.
This is my timeshare condo – unfortunantly there is a bit of mystery to this because the condo is assigned when you arrive. Which means that condos are randomly assigned and I have no way of knowing what the view will be prior to arrival. Some room types are ALWAYS oceanfront – like 3 bedrooms and some 2 bedroom lockouts. I usually spend more time walking the beaches of Daytona than than on the balcony – so an oceanfront balcony is not extremely important to me.
More subdued yellow shades in the bedroom and comforters have been changed to white in master bedroom… new furniture has an orangy finish… I really like the color scheme…
The master bedroom at Ocean Walk is always pretty standard. The only way you to get a different bedding configuration is to rent from a private owner. Master is a large bedroom (about 20 x 15) with a King bed – TV with cable and private bath with shower and jacuzzi tub. Storage is pretty important if you are living here for a week so you will find a closet with a safe ( 10 x 5), chest of dawers (6-8 drawers) and a night stand with alarm clock & a reading lamp.
My own TV — I was here alone, do you know how wonderful it is to watch what you want ?? for once?? no husband controlling the TV… priceless…… Sex and the City marathon for me…..
Bathroom is off master suite, this is standard in all master bedrooms and is perfect for the traveler who does not want to walk far in the middle of the night.
Bathroom has a jaccuzzi tub, which is surprizing not used very often…bedroom has carpet and bathroom has tile.
And walk in shower …just a note that you will have towels, hand towels and wash towels to use, also a blow dryer is in the condo. There are little soaps provided, but you will probably need to bring more shampoo and conditioner. What is in condo on arrival, is meant to be a starter set for you until you can get your own products.
Balcony always off main living room, in the timeshare condos, there are only 3 condo floorplans / floor that have a balcony off master bedroom too. Living Room is standard – full sized sofa sleeper, chair, end tables with lamps, TV with cable. Several chairs on balcony.
All south tower timeshares have updated furniture packages… the clue is that the bright orange is gone and there is a flat screen TV in place.
More subdued yellow shades… new furniture has an orangy finish… I really like the color scheme…
This condo is oceanview – south tower – over Ocean Walk Shoppes.. balcony is on south side of building.

My friend Kristen had contacted you regarding a two bedroom condo out the door for $1750 I believe. Please email me all info needed to make the deposit. Thanks!

These spots were our thresholds, which we are stiinang thin pieces of wood and putting over these doorways. Our carpet tack spots we covered with concrete repair mix, but there is a process with repairing these spots. I’d suggest purchasing a couple different concrete repair/mixes and doing test spots. Follow instructions, you may have to sand it flat with the floor. You want to make sure it feels like the concrete around it as well as a close enough color. If your cracks are shallow or simply not very big they may not show up. It’s entirely up to you to leave the spots and cracks but we chose to fill our carpet tack holes. We have maybe 2 very thin cracks we left which aren’t even noticeable. As for our actual tack holes, they turned out okay it’s all about matching the concrete that is already there. Which is not an easy as it should be, haha!
