I understand that you can plan every activity of your vacation in advance, but when traveling away from home during the winter months we are seeking a warm and sunny location. January is a great time to travel to Daytona, especially if you are leaving frigid temperatures behind. January in Daytona is considered a slower season and you will be able to get excellent rates on your travel accomodations. In addition, weather in Daytona Beach is very temerate and you will have minimal rainfall. Typically January skies tend to offer the bluest hues and sunrises can be accompanied by a slight haze — perfect for photographing.
When my arrival dates are close, I usually consult www.weather.com to get a 10 day forecast. Of course if you are planning several months out, then we need to rely on past weather conditions and hope that we get fare well on our arrival.
