Racing’s North Turn, Daytona Beach Florida.
Racing’s North Turn is usually the first place that we bring our out of town visitors. Friends who are visiting Daytona for the very first time can find a little bit of everything that makes Daytona great at this place. For starters,
1.) you can hang out at the ocean, as you have the best oceanfront dining location here. The large sunny deck, the umbrellas placed for those who are not from Chicago and craving sunshine. Great view and there is a bar here, a wonderfully stocked bar with a roof for those days when the sunshione deserts us…
2.) racing memorabilia, There is a huge bit of racing history here, as on this very spot, was the north turn of the old race track — that was back in the day when the beach speed limit was a bit higher than 10 mph…many pictures and much info from the Daytona 500 winners from years gone by….
3.) great seafood, Another reason to come to the ocean, is to enjoy fresh seafood. Good food here, it is reasonably priced and the menu will have appetizers, lunch selections and dinners…and the wonderfully stocked bar…. you can easily see where my priorities lie whilst I am vacationing…..
4.) souvenirs, if you come to a place like Daytona Beach, it would be highly unusual for you to come home without at least 1 item advertising the fact that you spend some time there… so this has my seal of approval for cool t-shirts….
5.) bands, from time to time — you will see bands at this location, so fun location to enjoy libations with friends.

Hi Renata:
I have a beachside house which I just renovated and rented. In the process I found several great trades people. If you have rental properties, I would love to share these folks with you. these include a general contractor (reasonable and dependable), a tile guy, a carpet guy who worked with me on direct purchase from Dalton, Ga. carpet mills.
I am an attorney in St. Louis, so I get nothing out of the referral, however these guys made my experience go so well that I want to return the favor.
If this works for you, email me and I will gladly pass them along.

Locals stay away!!!
View may be great but take a walk on the beach and bring your own food and drink.
Portions are small and prices way too high for what you get. We’re locals that use to go to the Turn for many years. My dad and I hadn’t gone and while and decided to have a good dinner out. The taps where broken so no draft beer. Bottles only! Disappointment prevailed through out our dinner. My dad burger can with nothing and was a frozen patty. My salad was super small. Cross this one off the locals list XXXXXX. I stopped on the way home and had to get something to eat. Please to the Owner “have your waitress wear a t-shirt (not tank) if they seem to have seen too many days in the sun.” She was as overcooked as the prices.
